I was first contacted by phone by CCS Review on the 17th of October in regard to miss selling of mortgage products. I talked to a member of staff and listened to the details of the CCS claims process and agreed to echo signed a document allowing for what I believed to be a payment of the £495 for the claims pack to be sent out. However at total of £3212 was taken from my credit card account. So along with the fee for the claims pack, they had also taken a 10% estimated settlement fee which I had not agreed to as I had not even received the Claims pack at this point which both myself and my wife needed to sign before anything could happen. After I got the claims pack I decided to cancel and on the 21st of October after calling CCS a number of times I finally got through to talk to member of staff at 4:03pm in regard to the £3212 that had been taken from my credit card account and asked them to cancel the agreement (as it was within the 14 days cancellation period) and refund my payment in full as I had decided not to pursue the claim. I disputed that what he had done went against CCSs own procedure according to online statements. My wife also refused to sign too. The member of staff then said he would be more than happy to do this and assured me a cheque for a full £3212 refund was being sent immediately. Over two weeks has now gone by and I have still not received a cheque. I have tried to call over the past couple of days and have had no reply to answer phone messages I have left or emails I have sent. I am very unhappy and angry about this situation and will do everything in my power to get back what I am owed if this situation is not resolved immediately. This company cannot be trusted in my experience.
