Please help, Winns solicitor are asking for bank statements, they say £9,000 is owed for a lease hire car, which should have been a courtesy car. Any advise.
Thanks
THREATNING AND HASSLE YOU CONSTANTLY FOR BANK STATEMENTS AFTER THEY CLAIM THIRD PARTY WONT PAY FOR HIRE CAR!rnAWFUL CANT WAIT FOR MY INSURANCE TO CHANGE THIS WINN SOLICITORS ARE TERRIBLE AVOID AVOID rnCONSULTING MY OWN LEGAL TEAM TO DEAL WITH THEM TO STOP HARRASING ME.
Keep well clear they pass accounts onto Debt Companies without notifying customers
1 star is too good for this company. If I could give a zero I would and that would be for their unprofessional conduct, scams and fraudulent practice.
I wrote a review on their Google page, regarding an accident that happened in 2018 where 3rd party admitted liability.
After calling my insurance with the number provided I was unaware I were speaking to Winn Solicitor (dodgy). They gave me a vehicle, knowing that I already had a courtesy vehicle on my insurance policy. However, the 3rd party disputed the cost for the vehicle I had for the duration it took for them to pay me the cost for my vehicle which was a little over a month and now Winn Solicitor have instructed court proceedings via hire company for £19,000!!!! This is extortionate. The rental cost for any car does not come to this amount!! Winn Solicitor responded on their Google page claiming that I did not cooperate which is untrue. This company run their business through deception, manipulation and fabrication.
During the process of my claim with Winn Solicitor they had a lot of BAD 2 star reviews in 2018/2019 for some reason this has been bumped up to 4 star; I can guarantee if an audit was run on the company, most of the reviews would be from the staff themselves. I stressed this to the staff at the time and was reluctant to go ahead, however they persuaded and assured me that everything would be OK - this was not the case as you can see.
They claimed in their response that they know the legal ombudsman are investigating, my question is then why would you send me court proceedings. The company is dodgy with a capital D!!
Good experience from start to finish.
Horrible company stay clear like vultures think never getting fees keep hounding people
Very disappointed with the service received. I Had a non fault accident and rather than claiming through my car insurance and a claim going on file I was advised by my father (who had used them before) to use Winns. Big mistake! All good at first untill my insurance company contacted me to say that a claim had been logged and my no claims bonus removed ?? I called Winns to be told that they must inform them and have, then went on to tell me they have nothing to do with how my insurance company use that info.rnThis has cost me hundreds of pounds on my renewal and if i had gone through my insurance as a none fault it would have been cheaper and easier in the long run. rnThis has caused me nothing but aggravation and headache so for those who think Winns first, you may want to rethink and stay with your insurance company
I will never use or tell anyone else to use Irwin Mitchell they forced me to
Settle even though I wanted to go court all they want is to get paid, and pay themselves well they did, there very sneaky and like you to think there on your side but there not, my advice for anyone thinking of using them is don’t Iv got a family friend and some of the advice I was offered was not good I had no idea either.
AVOID!! Cannot give a ZERO STAR RATING!!
Uuseless, they are not interested in the customer, just the money they can recover from you, even when they have done nothing for you!
A year on I am still waiting for these clowns to settle my claim , other driver admitted fault , but a year on I still waiting g for this to be settled. rnThey are con artists who don’t tell you when you initially call you are entering in to car credit hire agreement , and only advise you if this when they ask for 6 months worth of bank and credit card statements to prove you Couldn’t pay for the hire car yourself !! Apparently this is the law now . So I have had to roll over and show them all of my bank and credit statements . rnI would warn anyone NEVER around use this company. They do not tell you the full truth and they do not communicate with you , a year later I am still waiting for the claim a straightforward claim to be settled. Avoid avoid avoid Winn’s.

We went with abc claims and they messed up the claim even though we had ppi. Not very good service the staff were rude.
NOT A GOOD COMPANY AT ALL VERY DISAPPOINTED
This company is not as helpful as I thought I wish I could change I had a accident 3 years ago I ring every week to see if ther is any progress and they tell me a load of rubbish I have signed all the settlement papers and they said the outher side have sent the rong payment I don’t understand how this can be this was 4 weeks ago and Iam still waiting they dnt call u to inform u about your claim u haff to ring or email them this company is a JOKE :(
I got ran over 3 years ago and I have signs the settlement which was 7 weeks ago and Iam still waiting this is not good at all they said the payment the received was wrong this was 3 weeks ago and Iam still waiting :(
I received about £8000 after roughly one month. Very pleasant and professional staff - they made the whole process easy for me. Barclays told me I didn't have PPI but PPI Claimback managed to get me a refund. Highly recommended.
Nice People and easy to use service.
I got approx. £15,000 back with these guys they were professional and very helpful.
Great Service and a fast turn around on my claim. I would recommend to all.
Where do I begin with this poorly ran company? Iv'e been awaiting my claim for just over 1.5 years and I am yet to hear anything. The company seem to be incapable of keeping you in the loop every once in a while and the only way to get some sort of acknowledgment seems to be screaming at them down the phone? What confuises me the most is how this company have been able to continue to do this for so long and still keep their head above water. This was probably the wprst mistake I've ever made and I wish that others read this before deciding where to go. This company and somehow entitle to 25% of my claim and for what? Causing more stress to me than ever before? Not to mention the "physiotherapist" that I've paid £600 for who merely poked and prodded me and then said I was fine when I clearly struggle with even moving my neck to this day. I honestly pity anyone that works here or deals with these shocking services... No doubt in 2 years I'll still be here waiting for some acknowledgement. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!
Do not use this company they do not care in the slightest - there advert is a joke making out they are so personal and caring they have no fight in them and no intention of fighting your corner - wish I had never used them - stay away they will only make your problem much more stressful than you can even imagine with there lack of empathy. - I would give them NO stars if it allowed - massive huge con.
Hi Tony .As you anticipated Irwin Mitchell cannot locate a copy of the previous UNUM document.can you search one out and I will come up and meet you next week and box this off. Andy UK Case Managent Ltd. Poor poor service . Not professional at all Irwin Mitchell Newcastle.
Agreed settlement figure in January it’s no August no sign of payment, crooks!!
Do not use IM for personal injuryclaim. They will never get to know you or your case. only interested in billable hours.partner put her name on my case but knew nothing about my case.IM newcastle can not even retain staff as all dealing with my case have left. IM will sent case managers specialists to your house to convince you need a finical deputy. another branch of IM they will pay themselves from intrim payments sound familiar.when i raised a complaint i was told by IM partner i would not be charged for time spent dealing with complaint. now IM partner will not return my calls i get diverted to diffrent people and get charged for repeating my complaint.
Beyond incompetant. Every single step of the process has been an absolutely gargantuan task for them to complete. 2.5 years into a simple rear end claim, in which the other driver admitted fault immediately and it's still nowhere near complete, despite being "just a few weeks away" from being complete for the last year. I very much doubt my case will be won, especially given that between February this year and now (August) I have spoken to my claim handler exactly once, despite calling her direct line a great number of times. They couldn't convince a snowman to melt in the desert and are beyond useless. Their general level of professionalism is astoundingly low, bordering on non-existant and I am of the opinion that their right to practice should be revoked based on sheer incompetancy alone. Avoid like the plague.
Horrible company who target vulnerable people. Avoid.
Absolutely useless - they only have a limited number of providers they will make claims against - spent a long time completing forms and talking to an agent - was then called by another agent who did not have the previous information - you cannot recommend incompetence!
Contacted Gladstone Brooks received a phone call from them asking for details the person I was talking to had a poor understand of English. I had to spell out every letter and he still got it wrong. Don't expect to hear from them he got my address wrong there was to much background noise from other callers. Very unprofessional conduct.
My case is till in process atm. I was in the car crash as passenger. Their communication is non existing. They give you no advice on any medical help you could get. If I could cancel and take my claim somewhere else I would. Avoid them!!!!
Best advice: go to IH, solicitors, Leeds - altruistic, brilliant, caring, debonair, economical, fair, generous, honest, independent, just, etc. (Sorry, Mark - you're a friend, not your fault.)
Not at all impressed with this company, it has been impossible to log into their client portal , they keep sending endless letters asking for more information but after they have been informed , yet more letters requesting further information , not worth the hassle.
2 years into a simple rear-end write off (other driver admitted liability there and then) and still we seem to be struggling with a simple claim. If you didn't use care hire companies and storage that cost way above the odds this would have been sorted a long time ago. Perhaps if you hadn't had your wages paid for a couple of months you'd move a bit faster
Very poor service the man who called me did not even listen to what i had to say. Quality Solicitors do not treat you as an individual and very judgemental. Before calling you, they have already made their minds up. Very patronising
Worst thing I ever done was to choose this company to deal with my claim!rnIn the 4 and a half year my claim has been on going I have lost count of the number of case handlers I have had most of which have made me feel like I was fighting them rather than the working for me!...I have been made to feel belittled and untrustworthy. All they seem to care about is getting you to settle for as little and as quick as possible so they can collect the massive fees there self.rnAt the beginning of my claim I was told that it had been valued and recommendations for settlement was approximately £3,500 after a lot of fighting my Own solicitors to get them to to take me seriously, point of principle and 4 and a half year later I have accepted an offer of £20,000!!!!rnAlthough I have been told it a request was made for payment ASAP 3 weeks later still no sign of any payment which is not surprising as all the way my claim I have been let down by their services rnCommunication is shocking it can take weeks of sending emails and phone calls to actually to speak to someone for an update then to be told "I am chasing it up will get back to you" you are lucky if they get back to you with in a week!...the reception staff answerin the phone are rude and disrespectful I was made to feel belittled and spoke to like a child to be honest half the time I don't think the message left for a call back was even passed on.rnrnThe whole experience dealing with wins has made a stressful situation 10times worse for me!rnI am currently looking in to going to bringing a complaint against the way I have been treat with the ombudsman as I have complained several times to wins and have got no satisfaction
Inspiring story, where did you quote it from?
Hi, everything is going well here and ofcourse every one is sharing information, that's really fine, keep up writing. edeebbcgebda
I contacted GB possibly last September, i'm so not impressed, I just keep receiving endless paperwork which I complete and send back, to then be told they are awaiting authority forms, which I complete and still nothing happens, I know I have paid PPI so this is really frustrating, telephoned again today to again be told we are awaiting authority forms and will send out again ........ frustrating !!!
Not a great experience and they are too slow on progress also had trainee on my claim - they're taking 25% of your compensation (never mentioned this until first offer came in) based on my medical report I'm at £700 loss. rnrnThen they tell you they need to claim other costs (eg hire car, car repair and physio) which can take up to a further 35 days. This should have been done all together :-( and also mention they're requesting a cheque for the money that I am owed and that's monthly as insurers don't do it more than once a month and not sure when they do it.rnrnSTAY CLEAR OF THESE CLOWNS!!!
Hey, thanks for the post.Really thank you! Really Cool. efgkbgedekfg
Case reference SD707781rnrnAvoid, this company for your own self worth. rnrnThey don't call, constantly on hold never ever get anything sorted. rnrnThey have messed me around and takes no responsibility is any of there mistakes, and promise to sort things out and call you back.. you will hear nothing.rnrnDon't waste your time like I am in writing this review.rnrnAVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God awful company! They are trying to bully me into taking a below average offer my car! They have also moved my car to a salvage yard without my permission and without paying me for the car! They refuse to let me speak when they call me. They tell me I have to accept the offer (which I then told them I wouldn't as I had proved my car is worth more) they never contact me to let me know what's happening, I always have to contact them!
has anybody had a settlement that actually matched their advertised website figures?....Currently have a claim ongoing and the figures don't match up.
Up to now communication has been terrible...
My lease car company use their services to deal with accidents. I am finding the process a complete nightmare. Rude staff, no updates and regular threatening requests to complete forms or agree to conditions or I will have to pay. All this for a tiny accident where someone bumped into me while I was stationary. I am contacting the ombudsman due to their refusal to keep me updated or provide information.
They got all my personal details wrong after the initial contact , told them not to bother as did not inspire any confidence whatsoever ...still looking for a decent ppi claim company
Harris Fowler exceeded all my expectations in terms of professionalism, friendliness and trustworthiness. Unlike many other companies, they only specialise in Personal Injury, so I knew I was getting the top experts on my claim after suffering a nasty motorcycle accident. They kept me informed and explained the process clearly, arranging for me to see a orthopaedic specialist to assess my injuries and manage my treatment. The Fee Earner dealing with my case advised me that it would take a number of months to settle my claim, but negotiated an interim payment to help me with my bills etc.. in the meantime. There were no unexpected charges and they got me the compensation I needed - Great Result!!. I would have no hesitation in recommending Harris Fowler and have done to friends and family!
Excellent service throughout my claim. I can’t recommend Harris Fowler highly enough. They won my case and got me the amount of money I was looking for. Really approachable and professional people. Thanks.
My knee replacement prosthesis snapped because of a manufacturing fault.
When claiming against the global prosthetic manufacturer, my legal representatives, Irwin Mitchell (IM) appeared to have poor settlement strategies - especially for general damages.
Irwin Mitchell litigation cases are handled by para-legals with a law degree, who are paid through an incentive/commission scheme.
They have no real interest in you as an individual. You are merely a ‘case’. They are only interested in high volume, easy out-of-Court settlements, , where the company’s fees are paid and the para-legal representatives have their commission, thus resulting in lower settlement outcomes.
During what could be called ‘soft’ negotiations with the Defence, clients are always at ‘arm’s length’ at the end of a phone and not privy to negotiations - just the end offer.
I felt pressurised by the para-legal’s recommendation to accept the Defence’s sole offer during a mobile phone conversation, because “…the Defence team has to catch a train.” Really?
To that end, on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis, it appeared that Irwin Mitchell was mainly interested in covering their own costs.
Para-legals are not incentivised in gaining the maximum settlement for their clients, as would a qualified lawyer.
As with other companies, Irwin Mitchell should publish the Judicial College Guidelines for Personal Injury Awards.
Prior to the settlement meeting, I was given a figure of a possible offer. I was then asked by my IM para-legal, “What is the lowest sum you would accept?” Of course, that gave Irwin Mitchell a sum they didn’t need to exceed in negotiation. Very soft and very lazy.
In every respect, the lower than expected settlement offer was as a result of my lack of knowledge, rather than legal negotiating excellence on the part of Irwin Mitchell.
There is a lack of transparency and extremely poor management of client expectations. i.e., despite a client ‘winning’ their case, there is no prior advice to the effect, that the client ALWAYS pay their own legal costs - important when the fees may well exceed 60% of the eventual award.
As such, this will have an immense impact on how much money the client will eventually receive.
As far as the ‘convenience and care’ of a client is concerned, although Irwin Mitchell have a London office, my case was handled by the Sheffield office. Subsequently, I had to travel from London to Leeds to see an IM-appointed specialist - at my own cost, which will not be reimbursed.
I haven’t signed either a Form of Authority agreeing to a settlement or a Non-Disclosure document agreeing not to disclose the name of the prosthetic manufacturer.
Although, over the 2 year period of my case, the Irwin Mitchell representative was extremely courteous, it would be reassuring to feel that, in final negotiations, I am represented by a reputable company that have the interests of their client at heart, rather than a speedy, fee-controlled resolution that tarnishes the name of ‘no win, no fee’ solicitors.
Down right disgusting. Not heard from for ages, then out of the blue hear from them. I have multiple claims with them. I can prove these, all info supplied to them. Yet took no action simply because the credit card company wrote back to them saying ' no records'. End up doing there jobs for them.
Been dealing with these people for 18 months . I have had different claim handlers and they never update you with progress. Always have to chase and when you get a reply it's normally a rude response or they come across as if they just can't be bothered. I am now going to court and I am dreading it, if the lawyer is as incompetent as the staff dealing with my claim I have had it I think . Don't bother go elsewhere
Irwin Mitchell work in conjunction with Arc (Ageas Insurers as used by Tesco) avoid at all costs as Arc rules above customers. One star rating as it wouldn't accept no stars
This company is a joke! Feb 2015 my partner was driving my car and involved in and accident. They have paid out on whip lash for my partner as the other side admitted liability yet over a year on and I'm getting took to court for the hire car?? They have taken bank statement from months before and after the accident and now I have to justify why I needed a hire car and why I couldn't just use my savings!! Honestly where is the sense so now I'm just waiting for winns to come back and tell me that I owe them money back!! DO NOT USE staff never get back to you and the only time you will get an update is if you contact them! Ridiculous!!
Same here nearly 8 months no further forward now saying my partner has to go to court as third party admitted it was there fault but won't pay out . Winns about as much use as a chocolate fire guard the only reason I'm giving a 1 is you can't give a 0 ????
Paul Rooney are absolutely terrible!
They messed us around, 'lost' our paperwork and missed so many deadlines that in the end both the CCG and the Ombudsman closed our file.
Speaking with them via the phone I found them to be rude and arrogant and disinterested in the fact that they so clearly ruined our case.
Do yourself a favour and pick someone else to help you.
Have to ring / enquire what is happening constantly for update. I understand third parties are involved they could better manage expectations and keep client much better informed on a more regular basis without constant prompting and excuses.rnrnOverall experience has been a nightmare and its still not sorted 9 months after accident. There are areas of service that are ok but overall these are forgotten with the stress and incompetence I only hope this whole experience is finally sorted quickly and I never have to again go through this.rnSomeone crashed in to the back of me 9 months ago and this is still on going. Never get a update always have to call which I am no longer doing. When communicating with the trainee solicitors who is handling my case I get asked the same questions over and over again even after emailing and numerous conversations, I find her incredible rude but as I want this sorted ASAP I don't even bother with her, I've asked her so many times to update me through out progress but it seems too much for her or if I'm asking her for something that's out of her job description. All I want is for this is to be over with more stress than it's worth!! Thought using winns was to take this away from me; Obviously not! rnAvoid at all cost!!! & sanity!
Accident helpline have been brilliant and i couldn't fault them. Thankyou :)
It is almost two and a half years since Premier Claims started dealing with my claim. I found them really helpful, they answered all my questions and they have just won my claim for me so I am delighted
Contacted this company then was told a pack would be sent out, well nearly 2 months later still waiting. There has been constant phone calls both to my mobile and house phone and text's from them even though I have said I nolonger wish to continue with this company. These people do not stop hassling. Would not recommend them at all
They didn't give me any money and they don't respond to anything
Has a car accident that wasnt my fault was doing a turn in the road a car came into my road faster than speed limit. Nd got wedge between my car and the curb. However irwin Mitchell have now said I have to accept 50/50 or pay for itmmyself as the other driver is telling a different story. Very upsetting for me I qas 27 weeks pregnant at the time nd my daughter was born 3weeks early I nearly lost her twice. Im expecting again nd the case is still goin on they seem to misplace paperwork so I have to keep resending it. Even the medical examiner they use got many things wrong. Im still waiting on the correct details to be shown to me but they have advised that all depends on the other driver excepting 50/50 . Really distressing as I feel im being punishef for being the victim.
Hi my case was referred through injury lawyers for u . I never hear from the solicitor, I always feel like a it is such a nuisance for him when I email to ask for an update, though usually I get an automated reply which is never followed up with a real reply. I have emailed him once every 3-5 months so not like I am inundating him! Useless, no progress
BGR Bloomer solicitors are useless!!! After changing solicitors 3 times, with the first one a woman who treated me as if I was senseless and was constantly rude to me. I was op pointed another who did nothing for almost 7 months. He left the firm and now I am with a 3rd one who is not much better, it has been almost 3 years now and I still don't know how much longer I have to wait.
found them really helpful and everyone i spoke to was nice and friendly. still early in my claim as paperwork has only been signed but all great so far. feel my case is in safe hands and will update as things move on if i can.
My Son's car was hit and written off by another 'blind' driver about a month ago. His insurers use these useless clowns to handle his case. The other party admitted fault so should have been straight forward. Oh no...... My Son's car is modified to his taste, and fully insured as such, but no one at Winns appears to give a toss about this. We have already refused the first offer as this would not allow him the funds to recreate his car. We backed this up with details of similar modified cars currently for sale as requested. Today my Son sends me another email from them stating that the first offer will not be increased because the assessor says it's fair ! Bearing in mind we are only arguing over £200, and his hire car is costing the 3rd party nearly £100 per day, it wouldn't take a lot to settle this. So I (as a nominated person by my Son) rang Winn's again to discuss only to be told that we have no choice, we have to accept this offer ! I was also told that once the cheque is sent the hire car will be collected. I told them we will not accept the cheque as we had not agreed a settlement. Again I was told they are not going to do anything else and we have no choice ! Needless to say, we will be taking this further. Seems to me they are not interested in looking after their clients interests, only claiming their fees. BE WARNED.
Not a bad company over all.
It has now been 2.5yrs for one single claim I also keep getting phone calls saying it's six wks to go then 10 then 12 and told it's gonna take longer not sure how long. When I call to ask after these dates are up I'm told I was never told that and being quite adamant about it saying I'm not being true basically saying I'm making up n trying to get me off the phone as quick as possible
Find them rude
Would never recommend them to anyone
Fast professional friendly and courteous and got results. Would definately recommend.
i contacted first4lawyers begining march 2013 contacted by solicitors within two weeks then its all me doing the running about.i cringe everytime i see the ad on tv,its nearly two years now still in pain on the third solicitor at the firm as they keep leaving and if you critisize they threaten to drop you.it takes weeks often to answer emails and the experts they get to examine you are a joke.only plus point is i heard it needs to be sorted within three years by law or whatever
Absolutely terrible all they want to do is get their money at your expense veiled threatening letters to sign medical documents and have not heard anything from supposed legal expert (she is always at lunch) a two month lunch break seems excessive phonecalls are never returned
Terrible company. My claim has been 2 years 8 months, and I have to chase every couple of months. Cowboys they are- terrible company
They worked for me to get my ppi however after I got a very suspect offer for the banks they would not follow it up they just wanted there cut .so who to trust banks or money boomerang of maybe both think twice before you approach them
The service was very straight forward and the staff members who I spoke to were very polite and professional. PPI Claimback did win me a few cases which have to say I was very pleased with. As for the fees, I can almost swallow the 30% + VAT, but for the life of me cannot understand why I am being charged for the gross amount and not actual amount awarded to me from the banks. Hence why only 3 stars.
Started off well but appear to be no more than an administrator. Fine if banks roll over easy but I experienced a rejection from one bank (Halifax) and this company closed the file without any contact even though they had the loan paperwork sent by me which clearly stated there was PPI. After numerous phone calls of arguing with PPI Claimback/Investor Compensation that there was PPI on they eventually pushed the bank who then admitted there was PPI due. No discount on their expensive fee 30% + VAT even after many phone calls to complain, non customer facing complaints department, refusal for a senior manager to be made available to speak to even after over 10 requests. This wasn't the only case where no pursuit of the banks were done & no communication to inform me they had closed the case. On top of all this their percentage fee is based on the gross amount you get from the bank not the actual amount you receive after tax, in essence you are paying a percentage on part of the money you don't even receive. A complete and utter disgrace of a company - cowboys spring to mind! Be warned, use this company at your peril!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This company phoned me after I worked in a foundry for 13 years I was under the impression with me being self employed for 5 years I wasn't eligible for any money back and I couldn't put a claim in. I had a hearing test off a very polite man who met up with me in my area so I didn't have to travel or leave town. I do have industrial damage and I'm now going through the claiming process and hopefully me and my family can have a holiday this year. Thank you to the advisor who I firstly spoke to and Atrium Legal Services as a overall company, much appreciated.
These thieves took £1000 from me and didn't help me one bit. Tried to pass me on to another thief for more money. Paid by debit card. Sent them a letter and a letter to Natwest and was paid back in full from the bank within 2 weeks. It was due to chargeback, it worked for me. See Martin Lewis site. Services not supplied now or the future, Good luck
I worked in a car factory for 10 years in the 70's and it was very loud and dusty. I always thought my hearing problems were cause I was getting on... I got a free hearing test at my house which saved me rallying about, nice lady came and explained it all. I'm now going through a claim and am really glad they phoned me to be honest. Can take my grandkids on holiday hopefully
Do not give these people any cash up front .I did and am still waiting for a reply 18 months later.rnInvest in a can of petrol.
After being contacted by Atrium Legal Service to see if I had suffered with any industrial problems, I didn't really consider my hearing. After a lovely chat with a advisor who was very considerate, they shed a light on how working in the steelworks with various machinery could of actually affected my hearing. I went through with the process and put my hearing issue down to my age however through a hearing test provided the results actually show I have industrial damage and I have received a payment. I'm more than happy with this company and would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
useless absolute useless hope you don't have the solictor I hsd
I’m very disappointed with them.rnThese people expecting to have everything on the plate, even after received all required documents making only excuses. If I got everything what they want from me I’ll deal with the case myself. When I was ill on my holiday they expect from me to have other affected people names, contact details, reports to holiday providers etc.rnI was in hospital so obviously I could even talk to anyone from the hotel. In my case it was obvious that I had virus from food in hotel or swim pool water. So in my opinion they are scammers. rn
BGR BLOOMERS have been an excellent service my solicitor worked so hard with my personal injury claim ,they took my claim on after it was dropped, with time running out and nobody wanted to take it on, my solicitor was very sympathetic, very professional and easy to talk to always replying to emails and phone calls ,recently having gone to court I won my the liability case for personal injury my solicitor was with me all the way ,BGR BLOOMERS is a fantastic service which I highly recommend they took the time to listen to me when other claim companies didn't want to know five star service !!! THANK YOU BGR BLOOMERS
Very poor service, I was supposed to have a hearing test, the arrangements were made and then cancelled as the machine was faulty. The appointment was to be rearranged on Monday but no contact received. Poor communications from them, it would seem the sales people are on the ball but the service delivery is woeful
Extremely bad service!!!! My accident was in July 2013, I contacted BGR Bloomer in August and started a claim. 14 months later, I'm still no where near settling either mine nor my son's claims. The witness statement which has been re-iterated over and over again to them in the last year is still getting questioned, the other driver's details which were given at the start of the claim had to be re-confirmed almost 9 months down the line. The updates are few and far in between and even when you chase for a response (numerous phone messages left and many emails sent), you get dribs and drabs of incomplete information. Promises that information/letters are being posted and you will receive them in the week never come to fruit!!!! It is quite irritating dealing with BGR Bloomer all in all. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone else. rnrnMy case was straight forward, what could possibly be the reasons behind not settling 14 months (& counting) later????
Is there anything good to say about this company, been waitiing ages for a reply. Rang to enquire got a very rude man not keen to help me !!!
Great company to deal with, very thorough and professional, would definitely recommend to others.
Very slow 3 years down the line and still have to constantly chase for answers
Been commoditisedrnrnStarted of ok been nearly a year now having to issue court proceedings because the other party arnt paying and I'm blaming winns and there fees . winns own on hire on medical and they even told me i needed to talk to a shrink i was hit by a drink driver doing 60 in a 30 Zone I didn't ask for physio or a shrink and if I had of known they were going to charge the other party £90 per day for 7 weeks for a hire car i would of stuck with my own insurance company winns dont care about you they care about milking the system for what they can get the traffic police said i was very lucky because I was in a safe new vw golf or I might of been killed but winns rekon I'm only worth £1500 for my self and £10,000 for them and the rest oh yes and missed a call of the shrink and there deducting £60 and £60 each for physio appointments i didn't no had been made for me I was misled and feel used by this company and I am seeking legal advice on this because it's not right that they are allowed to make so much in fees out of other peoples misfortune bit of advice stick with your own insurance company and reading some of the reviews i wouldn't be surprised if winns haven't got some ghosts that write daily on other forums because if my experience is any thing to go by I find some of them astonishing
This company is driving me mad!!! They call me constantly and despite telling them continuously to leave me alone they continue to call! They ask if I want to claim for an injury or deafness from working in industry but I have never worked in industry! They are so damn annoying I have had to block their phone number from my mobile. I have no idea where they got my contact details from but their data is clearly VERY inaccurate. Yet another bogus claims company claiming to be something they are not and one that clearly does a very bad job of it!! Give it up and leave me the hell alone
they passed me to a firm called Camps in Birkenhead for my back injury and the service and help. as a whole is a joke, 20 months later and no sign of an outcome, I am now putting in a formal complaint against camps.
This firm has gone bust passing it's clients on to another claim firm who say they are not liable for any dept's from ccs how do they keep getting away with it
I got my cheque!!!!!! it bounced, been told to represent again, but I'm not holding my breath, watch this space I will let you all know how I go on
They phoned me in November and fleeced me £3k supposedly for solicitors fees. Was told it would only take 60 - 90 days madimum - 8 months on have had to chase them constantly and all I have had is a letter from their auditors saying I may have a claim on the mortgage! Now cost me 8 months interest on credit cards that they took the £3k from! Watch out for these people!! Told me I had a claim for over £25k haha
Jackie, Try 08432891273, not that it will do you much good, head man is Jason Lee. I am normally a patient person but my patience have been exhausted with this company. I think the only option left is to involve the police. DO NOT TOUCH EITH EVEN THE LONGEST OF BARGEPOLES. Con artists in the first degree
Hi James, we are very sorry that you're experience was not quite what you expected and we are always looking to improve our service. In answer to your query above it is normal practice for all Solicitors to withhold a small amount of monies until all of the costs have been paid. the money is held in an account that bears interest and that interest is then paid to you once completed. In the event that you wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact us at our office and ask to speak to the managing director. Hope this helps.
total scammers, took £750 from me to clear a credit card and has put me further into debt. never heard from them since. never answered phone, just kept ringing, and now number no l;onger exists.
DO NO GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY!!! They are really fast at taking your money and really slow at giving it back if not successful. I have been waiting for 5 months for my money back with loads of false promises that it will be posted in next week, next week comes and goes!!!. I just about had enough today and have phoned twice, the second time got a really snotty customer service advisor who all but put the phone down on me. If I don't get a satisfactory outcome I am going to name and shame on TV's Watchdog. Don't touch with a bargepole.
I Started this claim in March 2012, I chose Harris Fowler because on the Advertisement it clearly stated the it was a No Win, No Fee Personal Injury Solicitor. In January 2014 I was informed that I would be paid a total of 3026. accepted this but was only paid 2,400. And informed that 626 would be held until your firms expenses had been settled. Why was the rules changed ? my claim was instigated before April 2014 when the rules were changed.am taking this up with the Legal ombudsman and asking for compensation for loss of interest since my Money has been Held by Harris Fowler since December 2013. I have search the Harris Fowler Website and I cannot find a complaints department.
I would not recommend this company at all, i started my claim in July 2012,it took them 13 MONTHS to tell me i didnt have PPI, my first lot of paperwork was lost i found the service poor i was constantly having to ring to see how claim was progressing, in August 2013 i telephoned again to be told over the phone i didnt have PPI....i did actually think i would receive a follow up letter in the post to confirm this...a common courtesy one would expect and the case is now closed, to date 2014 i am still waiting. I have actually started my own PPi, in which i have 2 claims, and i dont have to pay the 25% which this company charges, so more money for me...Very POOR SERVICE.
You can win. Today I had recieved letter from Card center. Read terms & cond. call to your credit card office and tell them you want to do claim ask about "under section 75". It's works.
I bought legal cover as part of my home insurance and had a problem with a trader who worked on my house, costing me lots of extra money. Irwinmitchell Solicitors bought my claim from my home insurance company. 6 months ago I provided all the information about my problem to them. I have since sent it to them another 4 times, even recorded delivery. Irwinmitchell are still sending me letters asking for the SAME information that I have already provided. I would never use or recommend these Solicitors to anyone. Very very disappointed and still out of pocket by loads.
I tried to claim in September 2012.rnLike everyone else, I have had plenty of paperwork to fill in but have recieved nothing back!
beware and be sure of what you are signing up for. if you recieved less than £720 back and pay tax they will want back more than half of what you recieve!! they want half of the offer NOT half of the actual money. some companies will also refuse to deal with them so all paperwork comes to you which you have to forward on etc
The company called CCS Review no longer exists, websites etc gone from the web....... However, Go to Credit Clear Services 08448 845 123 www.creditclearservices.co.uk , I panicked this morning making several calls with no response to CCS Review.... called the above Credit clear services and some joy, they had my case on file confirming they received some paperwork I returned 2 weeks ago, on going so watch this space.... if I get any joy I will let you know.....
I was in same situation as everyone of you. I managed to resolve it as I paid using my credit card, who has help me get back the fees I had paid. If you have paid with your Credit Card and you need to ask them dispute the payments and than once they looked at the documentation and correspondence between myself and CCS they agreed that CCS has breached their own agreement, so I was told to send e-mail demanding refund, CCS did not respond to my e-mail, so after 15 days Credit Card company has reclaim my money and given them 28 days to appeal.
It looks good so far....
Sorry to be the 1 who tells you all this but we also have been coined by this company. I have just been doing some research into this company and have discovered that they stopped trading in November last year because they havebeen taken to court. Mainly for ripping people like us off. Iv found that a company called credit clear services have been give my claim so they are now looking intot his now but there might not be a claim like ccs told us there was.
I agree with Mr John, I also used this firm but found them to be rude and unhelpful , and also misguided they more or less told me to settle or they were not prepared to help any further unless I put my hand in my pocket to pay for more clinical evidence, consider myself hard done by .rnI have since been informed I could have got a better settlement, to late now.
I also payed this company 1500 in August.I eventually got an answer and the man said that the audit was completed and I would receive it in the post within 5 days.Guess what I am still waiting I cant believe I have been scammed and most probz never get my 1500 back or the 15000 for the mis sold mortgage
I put a claim in last year and you said it would take 90 days and I have heard nothing
Like many of the posts here I believed the patter and parted with £495+20%VAT in March last year and have had no contact from this company since November last year. I now see they have folded and I am trying to get my money back through my credit card company...usual warning story..get rich quick dreams offered are exactly that and expensive too !!
Absolutely awful company. Had to do their job myself in the end and got further in one phone call then they have in over a month. Even one of the companies they use said how bad they were. They don't care about their clients
oh my god i have just paid them £1990 over the phone im sick with worry now as i wont be able to repay that ever this is going to break us and now make us homeless i wish id seen this before agreeing to them taking money of my credit card which ive never even used up until yesterday im sick with worry now
I got a cold call from claim credit service feb 2013. I was told i had been missold my morgage and could possibly claim £7620, i was told the no win no fee was to be payed upfront £495 plus 10% plus vat that came to £1,508.40p I payed by credit card. if i didnt have a claim i would get my money back. I payed over the phone so have no proof of any contract. i got numerous letters saying it takes 40 days for this and we are waiting for a reply from my morgage holder. then got letters from credit clear service saying claim credit service were winding down so they were dealing with my claim, but pay more money £99 plus £10. I phoned and asked where is my original money what have i payed for, they said i would have fight for that myself and find out who the administrators were. I went citizens advise bureau who told me to contact consumer service, they told me claim credit service had moved address.I phoned directory enquiries for a number which was not registerd. phoned back got told to get in touch with ministry of justice. they told me to write to credit clear for proof of a contract. so i have wrote to 3 addresses.I need to know if claim credit service have stopped trading and if they have i need to know who the administrators are to get answers what to do next. the credit card company want a copy of a contract?terms and conditions?review summaries?copy of payment, i am trying to trace that. number of claims. and confirmation of each claim. i hope i get my money back but maybe not. all i can say is do not give large amounts of money upfront what you can,t afford. I am now paying off a credit card bill and got nothing for it. skint!
CCS good sales patter - very fast - no win no fee, nothing to lose, fees and commission deductable from claim settlement -RUBBISH. At no point did they clearly tell me that they would charge my credit card £1571.00 immediately based on a speculative claim valuation that may or may not exist. Now trying to get money back. Ministry of Justice helpful. If the mis-selling claim was valid they'd be welcome to their fees from the compensation. Why try to con your customers? Why tell the customer you'd ring back? Why try to wriggle out of it once you get caught. I've mean who do they think is going to pay the interest?rnrnIF ANYONE IS THINKING OF USING THIS COMPANY DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS.
According to the MOJ website:rnrnrnCredit Clear Services Ltd is being investigated by the Claims Management Regulator under regulation 35 of The Compensation (Claims Management Services) Regulations 2006rnrnClaim Credit Services Limited is being investigated by the Claims Management Regulator under regulation 35 of The Compensation (Claims Management Services) Regulations 2006
I have now disputed the fees taken from credit card and I have been contact with my credit card company and they have advise me sent an e-mail asking for full refund. So those who paid by Credit card you need to take it up with your Credit Card company who will help you with it.
So glad I read the reviews! I was cold called yesterday & told that once the claim went ahead I would have a charge of £948 on my credit card which would be reimbursed when I received my mortgage claim reward. I will not be going ahead!
I am very pleased with my result from ccs. I got contacted by them a few months ago and have had my compo of 16,780 back from the mis selling of my mortgage. and also over 5,000 pound classed as unenforceable on my cards which I am very pleased with. I am delighted to say that it was extreamly easy and fuss free as they did all the work.i have also recomended them to my friends and family and one friend is currently going through the uca service they offer.
Thankyou G. Staples for telling me that ur cheque got cleared. I am very pleased for you. I still have not heared from them as it was Christmas and they were closed. I will ring them once they reopen. Please pray for me that I get my money back. I have already got a dispute open with my credit card. PLEASE BE AWARE.
I too have have trouble retrieving my money after cancelling the proposed financial review. After being told I would have the money in my bank account by 5th December I am still waiting for a cheque that was apparently posted several weeks ago. I am now not having emails or calls acknowledged. I do not think this a professional or honest company and I would not recommend anyone get involved with this company. I am incredibly disappointed in myself for getting sucked in by the cold call I received in November.
hannah. I too got involved with them in November and have just had a cheque that cleared today! You need to be very firm and persistent with this company to get your money back. I was phoning them daily and was told on 3 occasions the cheque was in the post before it eventually was! Also open a dispute with your credit card company ASAP
Michael and melanie please let me know the outcome as I am very worried. Thankyou.
please please be aware of this company, I am having the same problem and am very hurt at the moment. They rang me up on the 18th of November 2013 and start talking to me about this miss selling mortgage and how they can help to get me compensation of 18000 pounds. I did think it was too good to be true, and I even said this to them, but they were just very clever in what they were doing. I somehow got into their talk and gave them all my mortgage details and then he asked me for my credit card number, and that they could help me clear the outstanding balance. m&s(my credit card) been charging me extra interest. over the time I been with them. I don't still know how this all happened but I gave them all my credit card details and also signed this electronic email, Three different people spoke to me in all this process, They said to me that they were not going to charge me its a good news, and that they will deduct 15% once the compensation is paid out. I was very happy at that point, they all sounded very professional and nice people but really it was not the true, they lied to me. I had a very busy evening that day and did not really have time to think what I did. My husband was abroad as his father was very ill. Luckily I .did not mention anything to him when he rang, as I wanted to surprise him. However that night when I went to bed I reaiised what I had done, My heart skipped a beat I quickly got up and phoned my credit card company. I could not believe my ears when they said that my account has already been debited with £2342. I cannot explain how I felt at that time. they could not stop the payment as it was pending. The next morning I rang them up to cancel it. They asked me the reason and I said cause you never mentioned that you were going to charge me, (I think its the same lady with two different names Lisa and laura) She said no we did tell you. let me go and listen to the recording and she came back and said yes we did mention it and you agreed. I said no one would agree to pay this large amount upfront, and I said whatever I want to cancel and am not interested and want my money back. She said we have to send you a cheque, and could not put the refund on to your card. They said I will receive my cheque on the 12th of December. I was not happy to accept that as i wanted the refund before my husband arrived back, but she kept on saying sorry that is our company policy and our company is very busy. She promised that they are not a fraud company and it will be processed on that date. She sent me an email that they will send me a cheque. On the 10th of December I rang to find out about my cheque, guess what the answer was? oh we are very sorry under unforeseen circumstances we are unable to process your cheque and that it will be processed next week on the 19th. She also confirmed that in writing by email. Today is the 18th and I rang them up spoke to one of the girls who first said laura (lisa) is on her break and will call me at 3:30, at 3:30 there was no phone call so I rang the same girl answered and said can I help, I asked her about my refund she said yes sure your cheque will leave here tomorrow and get to you by Friday or Saturday, by recorded delivery. I asked her to confirm that in writing, so she answered oh let me confirm it and I will send you an email before 6:30 today. I received no email at 6:15, so I rang and the answer machine was on sorry we are closed. I will keep you up to date on this as I do not want any one to go through this and make the same mistake as me. I have many sleepless nights i do not know what is the outcome to this. My credit card company are very supportive and very helpful. Take care and please be aware and alert at all times.
As a victim of this company and still waiting for my money to be refunded, despite several promises, I just wondered why you seem to have removed several poor reviews about this company. If anyone sees this review before its removed again - please please don't get involved with them

I am having exactly the same problems - I was told that a 'background charge' would be put on my credit card and the next day realised they had charged 2400 to my card. I rang up to cancel and was put under considerable pressure not too. I have in writing that I would recieve a cheque on 14th November and I do not have one. I couldn''t get in touch with them so I left a message via a contact form under an assumed name and guess what - they called straight away! Then said they would ring me back as accounts were busy - no call back! I will b taking this matter up with the Ministry of Justice
I was first contacted by phone by CCS Review on the 17th of October in regard to miss selling of mortgage products. I talked to a member of staff and listened to the details of the CCS claims process and agreed to echo signed a document allowing for what I believed to be a payment of the £495 for the claims pack to be sent out. However at total of £3212 was taken from my credit card account. So along with the fee for the claims pack, they had also taken a 10% estimated settlement fee which I had not agreed to as I had not even received the Claims pack at this point which both myself and my wife needed to sign before anything could happen. After I got the claims pack I decided to cancel and on the 21st of October after calling CCS a number of times I finally got through to talk to member of staff at 4:03pm in regard to the £3212 that had been taken from my credit card account and asked them to cancel the agreement (as it was within the 14 days cancellation period) and refund my payment in full as I had decided not to pursue the claim. I disputed that what he had done went against CCSs own procedure according to online statements. My wife also refused to sign too. The member of staff then said he would be more than happy to do this and assured me a cheque for a full £3212 refund was being sent immediately. Over two weeks has now gone by and I have still not received a cheque. I have tried to call over the past couple of days and have had no reply to answer phone messages I have left or emails I have sent. I am very unhappy and angry about this situation and will do everything in my power to get back what I am owed if this situation is not resolved immediately. This company cannot be trusted in my experience.
Very slow, you have to chase them all the time. They do not keep you up to date. My accident was over a year ago and they have just only now asked for my notes from the hospital. My friend going through a very similar claim, 8 months in is getting monthly phone calls with updates and is near settling. She's with a different company.
Mrs Slevin of Edinburgh who received £10,000 said; “ABC were very helpful with a claim that I had with the Royal Bank of Scotland. In fact we received back a lot more than we thought to expect. ABC kept in touch throughout the process following on from our initial meeting and we were kept informed all the way through.”
Mr G of Kingston upon Hull who received £10,000 said;rnrn“I was very pleased. I’d actually been to my bank myself but had been told in writing that I wasn’t entitled to make a claim. At that point I might have walked away but when I got in touch with ABC one of their consultants reviewed my paperwork.rnrn“I didn’t have all the information but there was enough for ABC to work with and I actually made a couple of successful claims totalling to £10,000.”rn
After having a accident and using BGR Bloomer I was informed I would receive £50 of M&S vouchers for recommending a friend, I introduced two people and never received my vouchers after many phone calls and being told they where sent I never received them!! Im now told they can not pay them as the law has changed.I Would like to know how they got out the post and it took 5 months to be told I wouldn't receive them after numerous phone calls telling me they would be posted!!! Bad service, badly trained staff who just promised £100 of vouchers for me to pass on my friends details would not use this company again totally miss informed and let down!!!
Read what our ABC Claims Management customers say: Mr and Mrs Whitby from Cleethorpes who received £24,000 said, ‘We knew that we’d shredded all our paperwork about three years ago, so we knew we didn’t have any paperwork and we thought we’d always been a bit savvy about not taking PPI on. It turned out in the end that it was through ownership of caravans and motorhomes. It was a bit of a shock.’ ‘We’ve been telling people to look into it and we’ve given ABC’s number out. We’ve recommended ABC because I think it gees people up to do something. When you know you have an appointment made and somebody is coming to the house it’s different than just filling a form in. It was the personal touch. I know that you have to pay a percentage if you use a claims management company but, to me, it was money we wouldn’t have had any way.’
Usefull im going to give them a go
A very poor service after no correspondence for 12 weeks I contacted them to be told we should of wrote & told you we don't deal with he bank British credit trust. I'm now having to start this process again!!
Have you used BGR Bloomers? If so, please leave a review on Compare Claim Companies and share your experience with others
Sorted out my claim better than I would have done. Had to pay a fee for them but got peace of mind that they know what they are doing. Going to do my neighbours now!!!
Got there in the end. Thanks guys.....
All fairly straightforward. I would recommend contacting ppiclaimback and finding out if you have a claim.
I contacted National Accident Helpline wanting to know whether I had a justifiable claim for Clinical Negligence, they took a lot of time and trouble to take extensive information and then recommended and contacted a specilist solicitor who is currently handling my case. All the information taken and passed to the specilist solicitor was consice and accurate.

Avoid, this company for your own self worth.

They have messed me around and takes no responsibility is any of there mistakes, and promise to sort things out and call you back..
you will hear nothing. Don't waste your time like I am in writing this review.
